Sagewriters
Tina Gill, Sagewriters Salons Director.
Sagewriters, started by Judith Trustone, prisoners, and supporters, stemmed for her work with creative writing in prisons. It allowed those behind bars to share their stories--giving a voice to the voiceless. Sagewriters has published a number of books of literary and social merit by prisoners, families, victims, activists, visionaries and progressive corrections professions. It has worked to give an artistic voice to movements of change. While Sagewriters originated in prisons, it has expanded to a wide range of authors. |
